Bauchi PDP Elders To SSG: You’re Pompous, Insolent | Tellwell Newspaper
Tellwell Newspaper, Abuja – Nigeria:
Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed
Secretary to the State Government (SSG – Bauchi), Barr. Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim
From Ahmed Saka, Bauchi
All is not well between the elders and stakeholders of the governing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State and the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr. Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim.
The elders have resolved to have nothing to do with his office to save their ‘presige and dignity’ in the affairs of the state.
Spokesman for the elders, former speaker of the State House of Assembly, Bappa Haruna Disina told newsmen in Azare that most of the PDP stakeholders in the state have unpleasant relationship with the SSG for what they described as his pomposity and disregard to party them.
Disina described the SSG as an amateur in politics, hence his inability to know the value of PDP elders.
The Bauchi PDP elders spokesman reminded political office holders to take into cognizance that the country is now heading towards general elections, and unless they pave way for the political actors to sail through the rigors of electioneering, both parties would miss the game.
Disina stressed the need for political gladiators and their supporters in the likes Ibrahim Kashim to strictly abide by the rules of the political game, else the party train would derail.
Disina lamented, “There is no cause to complain to the state governor about anything going on within the ambit of his administration,” he said, believing that the governor knows the in and out of the government as it relates to his stewardship.
“He is fully aware of all those gimmicks, machinations, clandestineness and everything about the political class,” he said, querying, “so why should one grumbled?”

Efforts to get the reaction of the SSG as he neither picked calls nor replied text messages.
