Tellwell Newspaper, Abuja – Nigeria:

From Godwin Agia, Jalingo
A Federal High court sitting in Jalingo, Taraba State on Tuesday, annulled the candidature of the Taraba State All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial flag bearer for the 2023 general elections, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha.
Delivering judgement in a suit filed by Chief David Sabo Kente, one of the governorship aspirants, the presiding judge, Justice Simon Amobeda, directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a fresh governorship primary within 14 days.
The court subsequently barred Senator Bwacha from parading himself as the governorship candidate of the APC and directed INEC to stop recognizing him as a candidate.
Tellwell Newspaper recalls that Chief David Sabo Kente had in May, 2022 dragged the gubernatorial candidate of APC in Taraba, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha and INEC before the court, alleging that there was no gubernatorial primary of the party in the state.
