The press should partner with Borno State government in efforts at accelerating the reconstruction of the state from the ruins of Boko Haram insurgency.
The Director-General of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Yabawa Kolo, expressed this need in a message congratulating the state’s council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on the emergence of its new leadership.

Hajiya Yabawa acknowledged that the Borno State government had benefited immensely from the coverage of landmark programmes and projects it executed towards reconstructing the state.
She admonished journalists to be resolute towards upholding accuracy, objectivity, and professional ethics while discharging their duty in order to deepen good governance.
